“For darker tanned, olive and Asian complexions with golden yellow undertones” – if this is not a direct message to me from NARS, then I don’t know what is. I swatched this foundation in store, liked it, bought it and I’ve been using it for a few months now.
Time to review!
This recipe is oh so darned easy and so darned special at the same time. I had forgotten all about this crunchy condiment until I rediscovered it when visiting my aunt – she had made a small bucket-load of it and I probably ate half of it. Impressive, considering I hate carrots.
This pickle is beautifully acidic from lime, carries some heat from the mustard and fresh chillies, and it is naturally sweet from the carrots. Perfectly balanced, if you ask me. And it is a great addition to sandwiches and burgers, or as a side with curries and lentil soups. Here is how you make it, in about 10 minutes flat. If you’ve read my post on the liquid version of this foundation, you’ll know I’m a fan. A couple of years ago, I was travelling a fair bit for work so I wanted a purse friendly version. A quick trip to Myer and I walked away with this baby. I’m nearing the end of the compact so this one is from the stash.
My eye sockets have a natural tendency to be dark. No matter how much I sleep, hydrate or religiously apply cucumber slices, without concealer, I look like I need more (I don’t actually do the last one but it illustrates the point). In fact, sometimes, even with concealer, I look exhausted because of the dark circles.
I am forever looking for a concealer that is not only the right shade (hello, difficult if you’re a person of colour) but is blendable and stays in place. I can’t deal with thick pastes that are like cold peanut butter being smeared on dry toast.
The NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer has had rave reviews by nearly every blogger and their dog so natch, I had to give it a whirl.
Do you have a certain dress or perfume that’s your go to? You know, the one that will always fit, the one that will always get you compliments, the one that will turn heads? Well, I have a lipstick like that . . . .
Summer has been and gone in this part of the world and as I changed up my makeup drawer in preparation for the cooler months, I realised I had this foundation kicking around and hadn’t gotten around to reviewing it. Here goes.
By the way, this is the first in a series of reviews I’ll be doing from my existing stash #fromthestash
