Many people who are ahead of their time become celebrated as geniuses, visionaries and eccentrics long after they are gone. The opposite is true for me, I think I was born a couple of decades late.
“For darker tanned, olive and Asian complexions with golden yellow undertones” – if this is not a direct message to me from NARS, then I don’t know what is. I swatched this foundation in store, liked it, bought it and I’ve been using it for a few months now.
Time to review!
This recipe is oh so darned easy and so darned special at the same time. I had forgotten all about this crunchy condiment until I rediscovered it when visiting my aunt – she had made a small bucket-load of it and I probably ate half of it. Impressive, considering I hate carrots.
This pickle is beautifully acidic from lime, carries some heat from the mustard and fresh chillies, and it is naturally sweet from the carrots. Perfectly balanced, if you ask me. And it is a great addition to sandwiches and burgers, or as a side with curries and lentil soups. Here is how you make it, in about 10 minutes flat.

If you thought I was being lazy, well, for once you’d be wrong. I haven’t given up on blogging and I certainly haven’t forgotten you. I did do a tiny bit of travel recently and I was a little unwell for a short while. But what I wanted to share is that I’ve been working on a few things which, as a by-product, am hoping will make for a better experience here on mGm. What have I been up to? . . . .
I don’t do this sort of thing on mGm but the lovely folks at Griffin+Row have convinced me to give away the Cleanse and Exfoliate Duo to one lucky reader. That could be YOU!
If you haven’t read my review on these two great products, click here!
Please enter by posting a comment below on why you would like to win.
The giveaway is open to Australian residents until 11.59pm (AEDST) 24 December 2016.
The winner will be announced on Christmas Day (what an awesome present!)
Get in it.
All the best!
I came across Griffin+Row some years ago when I didn’t know the difference between concealer and corrector. It is a home-grown Aussie brand that focuses on skin care that is designed to be as natural as possible. When G+R reached out to me to see if I’d like to try some of their products, I immediately leaned towards the cleanser because I was looking for something non-drying as we slowly shook off winter’s chill. Enter Cleanse and Exfoliate, the cream cleanser and matching exfoliating cloth from G+R.
There is no big story behind this one. I had a bag of natural almonds, I had some time, I roasted them. They were delicious. I thought I’d share.
Pop open a beer, get your strong arm out and make this now.
