Do you ever make random purchases? Silly question, of course you do!
Having the ASOS app on my phone is not a good thing. The number of times I have made 2am purchases, simply because I can’t sleep and there is a coupon code burning the figurative hole in my pocket, is shameful.
My only redemption is when such purchase ends up becoming an indispensable part of my routine. . . . and I wonder why I didn’t buy it any sooner. But my strike rate isn’t that good and I’m an incurable risk taker.
I’ll fess up now and quash some of your gastronomy dreams by advising there are NO nachos in this omelette. So you’re wondering why the misnomer? . . . Well, I have to tell a little story for you to understand how this dish and its name were born. . . .
By no stretch of imagination am I a fan of Kim Kardashian. Not even by mistake! But I did stumble upon this Koh Gen Do colour correcting primer thanks to her. While frittering years of my life away to the abyss called the internet, it was hard to miss the myriad sites lauding the brightening properties of THAT YELLOW PRIMER, as they called it. KK is a regular user of said primer. This fact, by itself, means nothing to me. What did get my meow-ey senses tingling was the notion of colour correcting; something that I find I have to do often (see here). Now colour correction AND priming benefits in the one? Sold!
Happy 2015 to you!
This post took a lot of wind up to write. A lot of umm and ahhh to get the ball rolling.
For those of you who have been following mGm, firstly, thank you so much for the loyalty; secondly, pardon the tardiness, I have not written for over two months.
It hasn’t been from lack of things to say – if you’ve met me in person, you know I never shut up. It’s been a few things here and there that have collectively waylaid all efforts and abilities to devote any time to the blog.
